Supply Chain Manager

ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER LOOKING FOR AN EXCITING NEW CHALLENGE??

I'm on the look out for a highly experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee a brand new department in a market leading business based in Reading. This is an exciting time for the organisation as they go from strength to strength, growing at an enormous pace.

The ideal candidate will be experienced within supply chain having worked in a management position where they have trained and developed teams, sourced and managed stocks and supplier relationships and have acted in line with compliance and regulations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Establishing a solid team of supply chain professionals to oversee parts and equipment
• Creating strategic partnerships with new and existing suppliers both in the UK & overseas
• Working collaboratively across the business with the procurement and finance teams to ensure streamlined operations
• Producing and creating regular reports to identify market trends, stocks, cost saving opportunities, risks and operational improvements
• Liaising with senior stakeholders both internal and external to present back business service deliverables
• Working strategically to ensure supply chain contingency plans are solid including stock forecasting, data analysis, ordering processes and miscellaneous issues
• Ensuring maximum cost saving opportunities are unidentified and utilised appropriately
• Overseeing supply chain executives by providing training, upskilling and development
• Utilising relevant CRM systems to help with purchasing and monitoring of stocks, orders, clients and suppliers
• Adhering to ISO 9001 regulations
• End to end supply chain processes including negotiations and contract management

The ideal candidate will attain the following skills:

• Qualification in procurement or supply chain OR significant experience as a Supply Chain Manager in sectors including automotive, spare parts, engineering etc.
• Management experience - have trained and developed junior staff
• Results focused - intrinsically motivated to achieve KPI's and customer service targets in line with business expectations
• Understanding of relevant compliance's such as ISO 9001
• Highly organised
• Excellent supplier relationship management - ability to build, create and enhance relationships is KEY
• Contract management and negotiations
• IT literate

This role is hybrid working with 3 days a week required at HQ in Reading, 2 working from home.

Salary £60,000 - £70,000 + benefits
