About the role

My client is currently recruiting for an experienced buyer to join their expanding team of 30 talented professionals within procurement and supply chain.
The Buyer is responsible for supporting the delivery of high complexity strategic sourcing events and category strategies and leading low-medium complexity activities of the same. This will involve engaging and building strong working relationships with stakeholders to identify business needs and then ensuring we understand the supply chains.
This procurement team deals with acquiring products and services that support a business's day to day operations.
Hybrid and flexible working are available with a mixture of office and home working.

Key Accountabilities

• Supporting the development and delivery of compelling category strategies that deliver the ambition.
• Developing detailed commercial understanding and value opportunities
• Delivering low-medium complexity end to end strategic sourcing events and supporting high-complexity strategic sourcing events within a portfolio
• Forming dynamic teams with stakeholders to drive best possible solutions
• Building collaborative relationships with the supply chain and identifying new supply markets
• Contributing to the delivery and execution of robust fit for purpose contractual agreements.

• Can confidently communicate, engage and build strong working relationships with stakeholders
• An understanding of project management principles and evidence of managing multiple projects
• Ability to collate and organise data, analyse commercial issues and enjoy the detail of costs and contracts

What you'll get

A competitive salary of between £34,000 and £45,000, dependent on capability and experience.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
